INDONESIA: VOLCANOS
An important volcano in Indonesia is called Mount Merapi and it is located at 7.542 degrees South and 110.442 degrees East. This volcano is a stratovolcano and it is composed of one layer of hardened lava, tephra, and volcanic ash. It is a lava dome and pyroclastic eruption. Volcano's impacted agriculture and businesses in many ways. It can destroy companies and can destroy many farms. They can also ruin businesses, kill others, and ruin supplies and crops.
Volcano's also impacted culture and folklore in Indonesia. The volcano is considered sacred to some people that live in that area who believe there is a supernatural kingdom at the top. Each year, priests climb up to the top of the volcano to make an offering at the "supernatural" kingdom. Lastly, volcano's also impacted infrastructure. Most people that live around volcano's choose to make a permanent home there no matter what. Usually houses around volcano's are made of brick.
